Deep in the woods outside the Bigfoot Country Legends 96.7 studios lived a fuzzy, friendly little creature named Baby Bigfoot. He was shy around people but loved country music and listening to his favorite radio station, especially when he heard Big D and Bubba in the mornings.
One sunny morning, Baby Bigfoot peeked through the trees and saw a big banner fluttering outside the radio station:
“Welcome to Bowling Green – Let the Adventures Begin!”
His fuzzy heart fluttered with excitement. Maybe it was time for his own adventure!
Big D and Bubba at Beech Bend
Baby Bigfoot tiptoed through the trees and followed the sound of laughter and country music to Beech Bend Park. BB loved to visit here! It’s such a breathtaking part of Bowling Green, he thought. With Barren River so close by, BB thought of a possible campout in the fall.
“Y’all ready for the Air Race?” shouted Big D, buckling himself in next to Bubba. Baby Bigfoot ducked behind a cotton candy stand.
But Bubba spotted a flash of fur.
“Hey, Big D! Look over there! Is that… a BABY BIGFOOT?!”
Baby Bigfoot froze.
Big D grinned. “Don’t be shy, little fella! Come ride with us!”
Together, the three zoomed down the log flume, whooshing into the water with a giant SPLASH! Baby Bigfoot laughed so hard his fluffy baby belly shook.
“Best. Ride. Ever,” he thought..
After riding the Kentucky Rumbler a 3rd time, Baby Bigfoot was as tired as a tree stump after a thunderstorm!
Bubba grinned. “I know just the thing to end the perfect Bigfoot day… ICE CREAM!
When the three big-footed pals finally reached the Beech Bend ice cream shop, the smell of waffle cones and fresh cream made their noses wiggle.
Inside, the nice worker smiled. “Welcome to our shop! What can I get you ?”
Big D settled on a double scoop of Sasquatch Swirl Supreme.
Baby Bigfoot looked up at the choices and settled on 3 scoops of Abominable Almond Crunch. In a Yeti”.
Bubba declared his “Chocolate Mudslide Mammoth Crunch was by far THE BEST. ICE. CREAM. EVER!
Hot Rod Corvettes with James Coates
Next stop? The National Corvette Museum, where James Coates was checking out the legendary sports cars.
The building itself was impossible to miss — sleek, modern, and unmistakable with its bright yellow spire rising above the skyline like a rocket ready for launch. The signature red cone, inspired by a Corvette wheel, anchored the museum like a badge of honor. Angular lines and bold colors gave the entire place a futuristic feel, like it was built to celebrate speed itself.
Baby Bigfoot crept in through a side door, drawn to the dazzling display of bright red Corvettes gleaming under spotlights. Inside, polished concrete floors reflected rows of rare and historic Corvettes — from the 1953 model that started it all to high-octane concept cars that looked like they belonged in space.
James turned and blinked. “Whoa, it’s you! BB! I see you checking out those cars — let’s go!”
BB was no stranger to race cars. Just like his father, he loved them!
Together, they marveled at the beautiful Skydome, the museum’s iconic circular room with its massive 100-foot ceiling, once the site of the infamous 2014 sinkhole that swallowed eight classic Corvettes. Now fully restored, it stood as both a tribute and a triumph, with some of the damaged cars still on display, showing scars like war heroes.
James and Baby Bigfoot strolled the grounds, grabbed a tall lemonade from the Stingray Grill, and finally found themselves back at the museum’s front doors.
James had an idea. “Want a fast ride to the Hot Rods game, Baby Bigfoot?”
Before he even finished the question, BB had already buckled himself into a silver 1963 Sting Ray split-window coupe — an icon of mid-century design with hidden headlamps and swooping fenders.
With a howl of excitement, the two took out of the museum parking lot, tires squealing as they cruised through Bowling Green. They pulled up to Bowling Green Ballpark just in time to meet Buck Wilder.
Baby Bigfoot and the Bowling Green Hot Rods!
As James and BB arrived, Buck Wilder was anxiously waiting. With his tiny backpack and big, curious eyes, BB was ready for the next adventure. That evening, Buck Wilder and Baby Big Foot made their way to Bowling Green Ballpark, where the Hot Rods were getting ready for a big game.
As he stepped through the gate his furry feet made soft thump-thump sounds on the sidewalk, and everyone who saw him couldn’t help but smile and wave. The crowd cheered as the players warmed up, and Baby Big Foot’s eyes lit up with excitement. The team gave him a special welcome, complete with a tiny jersey that fit the fluffy fella just right! He danced during the seventh-inning stretch, munched on cotton candy, and even got to throw the first pitch (it was more of a gentle roll, but the crowd loved it!).
As the stars sparkled overhead and fireworks lit up the sky, Baby Big Foot snuggled into his seat, heart full and happy. Bowling Green had become a very special place in his little-big heart. This is one game BB will never ever forget!
Back to the Woods
Later that night, just before midnight, Baby Bigfoot snuck back through the woods toward his cozy treehouse behind the Bigfoot studios.
His fuzzy feet were tired, his heart was full, and he had a new jersey, a Corvette keychain, and a tiny baseball made just for him.
He turned on his little radio and listened to his favorite country songs!
Baby Bigfoot snuggled under his blanket of leaves and smiled.
Maybe tomorrow he’d call in a song request.
