EPISODE 1:
A Dog Named Banjo

While wandering through a small town nestled in the mountains, B.B. stumbles upon a cozy little cottage with a welcoming porch. As he cautiously approaches, he spots a friendly dog lounging in the sun.

The dog, named Banjo, is a tiny, brown and white Australian Shepherd with a mischievous attitude. Intrigued by B.B.’s appearance, he trots over to greet him with a wag of his tail and a playful bark.

At first, B.B. is unsure how to react to this furry creature. But as Banjo nudges him with his nose and offers a slobbery lick, he breaks into giggles. Banjo, sensing B.B.’s curiosity, invites him to explore the surrounding forest together.

While playing, they stumble upon a skunk’s den. Unaware of the skunk’s defensive tactics, they accidentally make it mad, resulting in a smelly mishap that leaves them both in need of a thorough cleaning! Remembering an old remedy Banjo heard his human talk about, they decide to give themselves a tomato juice bath.

Gathering all the ripe tomatoes they can find from a nearby garden, Banjo and B.B. set to work, squishing the juicy fruit into a makeshift tub. As they scrub and splash in the sea of tomato juice, snorts and barks fill the air. Until they turn around and see a farmer standing there, her hands on her hips and a stern expression on her face. “What do you think you’re doing with my tomatoes?” she demands.

Banjo and B.B. exchange nervous glances, realizing they’ve literally been caught red-handed. B.B. panics, as this is his first human encounter. Trying to hide who he really is, he lets out a bark. “Buuuurrrrufff!” It doesn’t sound quite right, but luckily, he is still covered in tomatoes, his breed unrecognizable to the farmer.

With a guilty look on his face, Banjo steps forward and acts out what happened with the skunk, showing the farmer how they were trying to get rid of the stinky smell. The farmer’s frown softened as she watched the unfortunate story. “I understand, but that doesn’t excuse stealing from my garden,” she says. “Thank you for telling the truth, but now you two need to make it right.” Feeling sorry and touched by the farmer’s kindness, they jumped in to help with chores, picking weeds and watering plants.

After a day filled with both work and play, B.B. needed to rest for the next leg of the journey. He refused a bath because he still needed the cover of his fruity disguise, but the farmer served them a big meal and sent them off to sleep in the barn. Before the sun rose, he bid farewell to Banjo, carrying the lesson learned from his time with his tiny friend—the value of truth and forgiveness.
