EPISODE 5:
The Big White House

B.B. feels butterflies in his tummy as he climbs back onto the plane. This is it. He is flying toward his destiny: he must reveal himself to the whole world and prove that yetis are friendly creatures. Not to be feared, but accepted as friends.

There was just one small problem—B.B. can’t speak human! How can he make them understand or stop them from getting scared if he can’t talk to them?  He can understand human words, but yetis only communicate with grunts and growls. B.B. takes a deep breath to calm himself down and tries to come up with a plan.

Looking out the window, he spots something familiar—it’s the beach! The plane lands with a screech and rolls to a stop. Before B.B. can even unfasten his seatbelt, the pilot hurries down the aisle toward him. B.B. scrambles, but ends up tumbling out of his seat onto the floor!

Instead of getting mad, the man chuckles and lends a hand to help B.B. up. “Where are you headed, little stowaway?” he asks with a grin. B.B., feeling really scared, slowly raises his hand and points out the window to the red, white, and blue flag flying high on a post. “Ah!” the pilot says. “I’m going that way too, just waiting for my ride.” The pilot scoops B.B. up and sits him on top of his suitcase.

Feeling unsure whether to ride or run, B.B. sees some familiar faces as they roll toward the next plane. Stepping aboard are the fishermen, the man with the shiny suit, and the lady with the tall hat and magic stick. B.B. knows these humans! He’s so excited to see them, especially the one they call “The King.” Maybe he could talk to the president?

After they land, everyone hops into a huge vehicle that is longer than any car B.B. has ever seen. It’s bright yellow and has lots of windows. During the ride, the humans teach B.B. lots of new things. Whenever he points at something, they happily tell him what it is called, and they are so impressed by how fast he learns! They share their food with him, let him hear songs on the radio, and the lady with the hat and stick shows him a magical circle of time ticking on her wrist.

The little line on her watch moves from one to six, and B.B. suddenly spots another familiar place—the playground! The man with the friendly dog boards the bus and finds a seat. So does the group of people who were shooting the ball into the hoop.

The bus continues down a gravel road, past tall fields of grass and some beehives. B.B. knows exactly where they’re heading next. The farmer jumps on the bus and does that thing with the pilot, where humans touch lips. They seem to know each other, but B.B. still thinks it’s gross. Ew!

B.B., exhausted, nestles into a comfy spot on one of the seats and closes his eyes for a nap, but before he can even begin to snore, the driver announces that they have arrived. There it stands—the big white house.

Men in black clothes open the gates, and when the bus stops, one of the men gets on and walks toward B.B. with a cage. Confused and scared, B.B. quickly jumps into the farmer’s bag and hides. The farmer tells him not to be scared and shoos the man away as she walks past.

The entire group is led into a small room made of concrete, with a strange window on the wall that looks more like a mirror. The men in dark clothes exit, and B.B. feels safer. He crawls out of the bag and looks around, staring at his reflection in the weird window. The line on the watch ticks to the number ten before the door opens again. There he is. It’s the president.

As B.B. thinks of his mom and dad and what might happen to his yeti friends, he tries to be brave and speak up. But just as he’s about to open his mouth, all his human pals start talking at once! The room gets really noisy, and they’re all waving their arms and pointing at B.B. He holds on tightly to the farmer’s side, feeling a bit scared.

The president tells everyone to calm down and line up. One by one, all of B.B.’s friends share their terrific stories about this furry little creature. Telling the president how he runs with dogs, takes tomato baths, and catches fish! He rides in boats and on planes, loves music and the playground, and likes to eat french fries and cotton candy.

While the president and his team listen closely to every story, B.B. hugs the farmer tightly as they move to the other side of the room. Men in white coats pet his fur, pull on his ears, and shine light in his eyes. B.B. reaches out and gently boops one of the men’s noses, thinking it was only fair.

After some time, the president gathers everyone and leads them into a different room filled with lots of cameras and people in chairs. He steps up to the middle of the stage and starts to speak:

Fellow Citizens,

I have some very important news to share. After investigating numerous reports and seeing it with my own eyes, I can confirm something incredible: Bigfoot, the legendary creature, is real!

The stories we’ve heard through the years tell us about times when humans lived peacefully with these guardians of the wilderness. It was only when the yetis grew larger and stronger, that some became afraid of their power and drove them into hiding.

As President of the United States, I have the power to mend this broken bond. We will make friends with the yetis once again and welcome them to live among us, without fear and in the light of day…

B.B. listens in amazement. It turns out that the whole time he was watching the humans, they were watching him too! He did it, and he didn’t even have to say a word. He was bursting with excitement and couldn’t wait to share his incredible adventure with all the other yetis!
